- If both Kittle *and* Tonges missed time, Farrell would be the last TE standing in a scheme that must play tight ends — the double-injury week would produce startable snaps by default.
Bear case
- The profile is a te.md checklist of disqualifiers: 25% RP, 0.084 TPRR, 2.6% TS, 9%+ pass-block rate — a Blocking Y on both usage and contract, the archetype the methodology says is undraftable at any price.
- The contingency lane is closed: 2025 already proved Kittle absences route through Tonges (46 targets) while Farrell stayed at 14 — there is no injury scenario short of a double-TE wipeout that gives him routes.
- His own market signal is negative: local coverage spent the spring debating whether the team regrets his contract — a player being defended as "at least he blocks" has no fantasy tailwind.
